Mayor Shane Davis

Shane Davis was elected Mayor of the City of Aledo in May 2025. Prior to becoming mayor, he served on the Aledo City Council, Place 1, beginning May 1, 2021, and was re-elected to a second term in May 2023. During his time on the council, he also served as Mayor Pro Tem from May 26, 2022, to July 27, 2023. Before joining the council, Mayor Davis contributed to the community as a member of the Aledo Parks & Recreation Board from February 2019 to May 2021.

Mayor Davis is the owner of The Aledo Athletic Club going on 14 years. Before becoming a business owner, he spent 27 years working as a professional chef. Throughout his culinary career, he worked with several well-known restaurants and organizations, including The Mansion on Turtle Creek, Central Market, Eatzi’s Market & Bakery and Ruth’s Chris Steak House. He also served as a Regional Chef for Brinker International and Marriott.

In addition to his culinary work, Mayor Davis has judged a number of food competitions, including the Texas Food Truck Challenge in Graham Tx and Zest Fest in DFW and World Food Championships

Mayor Davis and his family are longtime residents of Aledo. In his free time, you can often find him walking one of his four dogs—Fozzy, Xena, Moxie or Spartacus—around the community he proudly serves.
