Council Member Melanie Allen

Melanie Allen was elected to the Aledo City Council to represent Place 4 in May 2026. She has proudly called Aledo home since 2010. As a wife and mother of two daughters attending Aledo ISD, she has a personal connection to the values, traditions, and priorities that make the community such a special place to live and raise a family.

Melanie brings extensive business experience and a proven track record of leadership to her community service. She successfully grew a wireless franchise from 10 to 56 locations and currently serves as a Business Development Officer at PlainsCapital Bank in Weatherford, where she works closely with local businesses and community partners to support economic growth and opportunity.

For more than 16 years, Melanie has been actively involved in serving Parker County. She served on the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for many years, including as Chairman of the Board from 2019 to 2020. Today, she continues her commitment to community leadership through service on the boards of Medical City Weatherford, Tarrant Area Food Bank West, United Way of Parker County, and the Weatherford ISD Educational Improvement Council.

Throughout her years of service, Melanie has worked alongside community organizations, businesses, and residents to strengthen local connections and improve quality of life. Whether helping organize fundraisers, supporting nonprofit initiatives, or volunteering at community events, she has seen firsthand the impact that collaboration and civic engagement can have on a community’s success.

As Aledo continues to grow, Melanie believes it is essential to preserve the qualities that make the city unique while planning thoughtfully for the future. She is committed to supporting public safety, strengthening local businesses, encouraging responsible development, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are managed wisely and transparently.

Her vision for Aledo centers on maintaining the city’s cherished small-town character while fostering meaningful partnerships with neighboring communities. By working collaboratively with residents, businesses, and local leaders, Melanie hopes to help build an even stronger, more connected, and thriving Aledo for future generations.
