Aledo Commons Park & Aledo Veterans Plaza

Aledo Commons Park is located in the heart of Aledo, in the center of the traffic circle of FM1187, South Front Street, and Maverick Street.

Aledo Commons Park houses our Aledo Veterans Plaza: Commemorative bricks in the shape of a star line the base of this spectacular landmark; the center hosts a humbling monument with each side showing a branch of our military. The paved area is surrounded by granite benches for viewing, resting, and reflecting on the dedication and sacrifices of our local heroes. On the north eastern perimeter, the flags of the United States, Texas, and POW MIA stand as proud as those who honor them.

Commemorative bricks for Aledo Veterans Plaza are still available for purchase. Please contact Aledo City Hall at 817-441-7016 or click here.

The Aledo Commons Park's parking lot has 15 parking spaces, including specially designated spaces for Veterans, and active military may also use these spaces. Two sidewalks connect the parking lot to the Aledo Veterans Plaza monument for easy viewing and accessibility.

The Aledo Commons Park hosts permanent restrooms in the northeast corner of the park.  These restrooms are typically open between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during normal business days when City staff can supervise and maintain them.

Future plans for Aledo Commons Park propose a walking trail, an amphitheater with natural seating built into the "bowl" of the northwest corner.
