Before Solicitation begins the applicant must submit for inspection by the City Secretary the following via the form below:

  1. Written proof of identity. (Driver's license or comparable)
  2. Identification letter from firm which orders are to be solicited.
  3. Application must be accompanied by a $5,000 Surety Bond signed by the applicant and Co-signed by a Surety Company authorized in the State of Texas.  This must be done for each agent.
Once approved:
  • A license fee for solicitation in the City of Aledo will be $500 annually per agent and must be presented in cash or money order.
  • A fee of $100 must be paid for each additional agent registering at the same time as the applicant. Anyone registering alone will be required to pay the $500 per agent.

NOTE: The process for a Solicitor's permit takes up to 3 weeks for completion.
