Resolving Outstanding Court Matters
This page provides information for individuals who may have an active warrant or a driver’s license hold related to a City of Aledo Municipal Court case.

Warrants
An arrest warrant may be issued when a Municipal Court case is not resolved by the required deadline.
If a warrant is active, it remains in effect until the case is resolved as allowed by law. A warrant may be confirmed by law enforcement agencies.
In some cases, a capias pro fine warrant may be issued. If issued, payment of the amount owed may be required to resolve the case.
Resolving a Warrant
If you have an active warrant, contact the Municipal Court to discuss your options. Depending on your case, options may include:
- Paying the amount owed in full
- Posting bond as required by the Court
- Appearing in person to address the case
- Establishing a payment arrangement, if eligible
Driver’s License Holds (OMNI / Failure to Appear Program)
The City of Aledo may report certain unresolved cases to the Texas Failure to Appear Program under Chapter 706 of the Texas Transportation Code.
If a case is reported, you may be unable to renew your Texas driver’s license until the matter is resolved with the Municipal Court.
Once your case is resolved, the Court will notify the appropriate state system. Driver’s license holds are typically released within 10 business days, although processing times may vary.
