Contacts & Hours of Operation
 

The Aledo Municipal Court is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays.

To set a Court Date you must appear in person at the Municipal Court office during business hours at 104 Mavetick St, Aledo TX  76008.

If you are under the age of 17, you must have a parent or guardian appear with you to set a date to see the Municipal Court Judge. 

Courtroom Hearings are held at the Aledo Community Center located at 104 Robinson Court, Aledo TX  76008 (across Old Annetta Road from City Hall). Judge Craig A. Magnuson presiding.

IT IS A CRIME TO INTENTIONALLY OR KNOWINGLY FILE A FRAUDULENT COURT RECORD OR FRAUDULENT INSTRUMENT WITH THE CLERK.

CONTINUANCES:

If you cannot appear on your originally scheduled court date, you may receive one continuance.  The request must be in writing and must be received by the Municipal Court at least 24 hours before your scheduled court date. 

DRESS CODE:

Proper dress is required in the courtroom.  No hats, caps, bandanas, etc.  No tube tops, tank tops, halter tops, mini-skirts, shorts, or torn jeans.  No obscene or profane language or illustrations on clothing or gang-related clothing.  Clothing must cover all undergarments.

The court reserves the right to refuse to hear any case from those who fail to abide by the dress code.

All cell phones and pagers must be turned OFF while court is in session.


Court Payments
 

PAYMENT INFORMATION: 

The City of Aledo Municipal Court accepts cash, check, money orders, and credit/debit cards.  There are additional fees when using a credit/debit card.

LOCATIONS TO MAKE PAYMENT:

At Court: Payments are accepted on the evening of your court date.

In Office: Payments can be made Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (excluding holidays) at the Aledo City Hall, 200 Old Annetta Road, Aledo TX 76008.

By Mail: Payments can be made by mail along as a signed plea is included, and mailed to Aledo Municipal Court at PO Box 1, Aledo TX  76008.  A plea form can be obtained on this website.


IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GOVERNORS EMERGENCY ORDERS AND THE OCA guidelines for court operations during the declared COVID-19 emergency, All court hearings will be conducted remotely when possible.  Anyone not having the ability to appear remotely may be allowed to appear in person after contacting the court and verifying their inability to appear remotely.
