City Manager

As Aledo's City Manager, Noah A. Simon serves as the City’s Chief Administrative Officer.  Primary duties include planning, organizing and directing the overall administrative activities and operations of the City; advising and assisting the Mayor and Council; representing the City’s interests with other levels and agencies of government, the business sector and the community at large. 

The City Manager exercises direct and indirect supervision over professional, technical and clerical City staff.

Other duties include implementing policy as set by the Aledo City Council; overseeing programs of work; ensuring compliance with State, Federal and local requirements pertaining to sound financial principles and management practices; provides enforcement of all City ordinances; prepares and submits the annual budget; monitors expenditures and reports significant variances; ensures the development and implementation of long-range planning processes; hires director level positions and ensures proper selection, supervision, training and evaluation of City personnel.
