Summer Starts Here: City of Aledo Invites Community to Summer Blast June 6

ALEDO, Texas — School is out and summer is officially on as the City of Aledo prepares to host its free annual Summer Blast celebration on Saturday, June 6 from 6–10 p.m. at Aledo Commons Park in downtown Aledo.

This growing community tradition has become one of Aledo’s signature summer events, featuring live music on a professional stage, an all-ages Kid Zone, food trucks, handmade craft vendors, a giant LED dance floor and interactive entertainment throughout the evening. The night will conclude with a fireworks display set to a patriotic soundtrack in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.

“Summer Blast is about creating an evening that captures the community spirit of Aledo, a place where neighbors, friends and families come together to celebrate the end of the school year and the start of summer,” said Laura Weber, Communications and Events Manager for the City of Aledo. “This event reflects what makes this tight knit community special and brings that energy right into the heart of our downtown.”

This year’s musical lineup is headlined by Graceland Ninjaz, a nationally recognized party band known for high-energy performances and genre-spanning mashups. The group delivers an interactive show blending greatest hits across five decades of rock, dance, hip hop and soul. From Rihanna and Journey to Elvis and Bruno Mars, the band keeps audiences engaged and the dance floor moving all night.

Opening the evening will be local performer Cate Gartner, a former contestant on American Idol and much-adored worship singer at Christ Chapel West.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the evening. No outside food, drinks or alcohol are permitted.

Summer Blast is made possible through the support of the Aledo Economic Development Corporation and generous sponsors, including Kid Zone Sponsor Myser Orthodontics, Spotlight Sponsors H-E-B, KB Home, Magna-Flow Environmental, Steele & Freeman Inc. and UTA West, along with additional local businesses participating as Blast Buddy Sponsors.
