Financial Management & Budgeting

Function:

The Finance Department is responsible for the overall financial management of the City. This department supplies support services to all City departments, consisting of accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashiering, purchasing, budgeting and data processing. 

This Department:

  • Prepares the City's Annual Operating Budget
  • Arranges for annual financial audit services
  • Monitors budget compliance
  • Prepares periodic financial reports
  • Performs necessary state and federal reporting requirements
  • Manages the City's investment portfolio and banking relationships
  • Processes utility payments, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
