NOTE: You will be asked to confirm that your project exists within Aledo city limits. Please review the map carefully before proceeding to the application, as an Aledo address does not confirm that your property is within our jurisdiction. 

Building Permit Info

A building permit is required for any new structure or addition in the City of Aledo. The City has adopted construction standards to protect public health and safety, including the building, plumbing, electrical and mechanical codes. If you’re unsure whether your project needs a permit, contact the Permitting Department before starting work. 

Before a permit can be issued:

1. The property must be properly platted.

2. The proposed structure must meet zoning and building requirements.

3. A completed Building Permit Application must be submitted via GovWell.

NOTE: Some zoning districts also require a detailed site plan for approval.
