Municipal Court

The primary function of the city's Municipal Court is to process all Class C Misdemeanors alleged to have occurred within the territorial limits of the City of Aledo.  These include charges filed under the Texas Transportation Code, Penal Code, Alcoholic Beverage Code, Health and Safety Code, Education Code, and Aledo Code of Ordinances. 

Your Responsibility to Appear for Your Citation

Know Your Exact Appearance Date
Your response date appears on your citation just below your signature. It is the last day that is considered "on time." You may also contact the Court to confirm your due date.

Citation Payment Information
Please wait 3 business days before appearing or contacting the Court. You may appear at any time during regular business hours (Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm) until your appearance date. 

Failure to Appear on or Before Your Appearance Date
Failing to appear may result in additional charges for Failure to Appear or Violate Promise to Appear, which could lead to a warrant being issued or the inability to renew your drivers license.

Consequences of ignoring a citation

  • The addition of a failure to appear charge, plus additional court costs and fees.
  • Texas Department of Public Safety may deny your driver's license renewal.
